With Daily.co hardware, your TV screen can display your logo – or other custom artwork – when you're not using the screen for video calls or wireless presentations. It's easy, available to all of our hardware customers, and is free. You simply need to provide us with high resolution files as described in Sections 2 and 3.

  • 1.0   What we typically show on your TV
  • 2.0  How to customize non always on screens
  • 3.0  How to customize your screen, if you're an always on customer

1.0 What a Daily.co TV shows by default

When you aren't in a video call or wireless presentation, your TV shows the below standby screen:

This standby screen has two things, typically:

  1. A background image, which by default is our Daily.co logo and an image like the Golden Gate bridge above
  2. In the lower right, the "Get Started" box lets you and your teammates control the TV, and start a video call or wireless presentation. This box is the "controller UI," and we have to show this, so you can control the TV.

**Note: the above applies to standard TV displays. Always-on hardware is different. See Section 3.0.

2.0 Customize your background image (non always-on)

We can replace our logo with your own image:

  1. Send us a 1920 x 1080 art file (png or jpg). The file needs to be high resolution.
  2. All elements should be place 90 points in from the edge of the document - see image below
  3. Logo placement: Top left
  4. Logo size: Max-height 220 points
  • We write the "Get Started" UI element on top of your image. The "Get Started' UI element is required, so you can control your TV.
  • Please keep the controller element in mind, when creating your artwork. (We'll touch base if we run into any issues overlaying your artwork with the controller element)

3.0 Always on customers - customize your loading screen

Section 2 above explains how to customize a standard TV that isn't in a call. Since your always-on TV is always in a call when on, that doesn't apply. Instead, always on-customers can customize the loading screen.

The loading screen is the 30-second countdown that shows after booting – it's that Golden Gate banner, with the Loading banner and Get started box:

  • In the above image, you can replace this bridge background image with your own artwork
  • We write the Loading and Get Started elements on top of your image:
  1. Send us a 1920 x 1080 art file (png or jpg) — ie, high resolution
  2. All elements should be place 90 points in from the edge of the document - see image below
  3. Logo placement: Bottom left
  4. Logo size: Max-height 220 points
