You can join Daily.co on different browsers.

Chrome offers the best experience.

Background

Daily.co is 1-click video call links. There's no download, and no login required to join a video call. To enable 1-click video calls, Daily.co is built on top of WebRTC, an open platform backed by major tech companies like Google, Cisco and Amazon. (As an open platform, no one company controls the tech.)

Google has supported WebRTC since its inception; currently, Chrome lets us do more. Other browser WebRTC support is developing robustly. We're glad to now support larger calls on Safari, Firefox and mobile.

Chrome

Chrome offers the best experience and the most features.

  • Join calls with up to 50 people (200 for paid API plans)
  • Video call recording
  • Dual screen sharing, where both you and another person can screen share

Firefox

  • Join calls with up to 50 guests.
  • No screen sharing. You can see other guest' screen shares. But you can't screen share, if you're on Firefox.
  • You cannot see video feeds and screen shares at the same time
  • You cannot start a recording

Safari

  • You might encounter more video and audio issues, on Safari
  • Join calls with up to 50 people (200 for paid API plans)
  • No screen sharing. If you're on Safari, you can see other guest's screen shares. However, you yourself can't screen share from using Safari.
  • You cannot see video feeds and screen shares at the same time
  • You cannot start a recording

Edge

Edge support is experimental:

  • Edge is limited to 1:1 calls — only 2 people can be in a meeting. If a third person joins the call, anyone in Edge will be kicked out of the call.
  • You might encounter more video and audio issues, on Edge
  • No screen sharing. If you're on Edge, you can see other guest's screen shares. However, you yourself can't screen share from your computer.
  • You cannot see video feeds and screen shares at the same time
  • You cannot start a recording

Mobile

  • Android users, tap on your meeting link in Chrome, to join. You cannot screen share or record using Android.
  • iOS users, tap your meeting link in Safari to join call. You can't screen share or record using iOS.
