This page is for unblocking your camera on mobile. Go here if you're using a computer.

When you click on your cam/mic buttons, do you see the below image?

Your phone cam/mic is blocked by (1) your browser or (2) Operating System. 

Android Chrome 

  1. On your Android device, open the Chrome app .
  2. To the right of the address bar, tap More (triple dots)  > Settings.
  3. Tap Site Settings.
  4. Tap Microphone or Camera.
  5. Tap to turn the microphone or camera on or off. 
  6. Look for Daily.co under the Blocked list. If you see it BLOCKED, tap Daily.co > Access your camera > Allow. 
  7. Unblock BOTH camera and mic!


iOS Safari using the Intercom app

  1. First check camera access is enabled on your iPhone/iPad!  
    Click Settings > Safari > Camera > scroll down to Camera & Microphone Access. Toggle ON.
  2. Next, you have to rejoin the Daily.co call. That's because Apple, for privacy reasons, asks you to allow the camera every time.
    ✳️  Leave the call.  
    👉  Apple should take you back to the page with the Intercom chat. Click Join call.  
    😀  Make sure to ALLOW the camera when asked by Daily.co when you rejoin. 


iOS Safari for standard Daily.co calls 

  1. First check camera access is enabled on your iPhone/iPad!  Click Settings > Safari > Camera > scroll down to Camera & Microphone Access. Toggle ON. 
  2. Next, you have to rejoin the Daily.co call. That's because Apple, for privacy reasons, asks you to allow the camera every time.
    ✳️  Leave the call.  
    👉  Copy the link into a new window and rejoin.
    😀  Make sure to ALLOW the camera when asked by Daily.co when you rejoin.
